##嗟乎， 一個人的妄斷怎可影響韆萬人的命運。
評分雖然知道插隊苦，知青難，但是沒想到當年能苦到這個份兒上，我爸在大興安嶺我媽在湖北十堰的經曆應該和作者差不多，真是命運弄人，改變瞭一代人的命運。感覺作者刻苦勤奮聰明幸運，雖然命運被大環境左右，但自己卻仍能生活得不錯，看完感覺格外勵誌。
評分##終於讀完。沒想到是這麼認真的一本迴憶錄，從大躍進寫起，用個人經曆寫中國的曆史進程。很多細節的描寫和故事看起來匪夷所思，但給我這樣以前隻能從曆史書上看到一些隻言片語的人很多有意思的視角。單偉健無疑是努力的，在戈壁也要堅持讀書聽英文廣播，彆人勞動紛紛偷懶他還堅持，為瞭被推選上大學主動去和彆人搞好關係，去瞭美國還要無比努力拿A。能在睏境中保持對自己的高要求，對人生敢於選擇未知和跳齣舒適圈，大佬之所以為大佬，不是沒有道理。
評分##事無巨細但絕不枯燥的迴憶錄，單老闆有如今的江湖地位也是該當。觀察學習思考能力算最基本的，即使在絕地睏境下也能盡力突破（學醫、研究磚泥攪拌機、搞好人緣、說服學校量身定製課程、多方奔走解決妻子赴美和簽證問題等等），也有奇妙的際遇和善緣（Jefferson Starship的簽名唱片！）。時勢波瀾寫得也好，個人命題裏做不瞭太深入探討，但足夠全麵客觀。

評分##在時代的洪流中，命運看似不由自己掌控，但是作者沒有放任自流。作為文革的犧牲品，本該上學的他被下放到內濛古戈壁灘當農夫，但最終抓住改革開放、中美關係改善的契機齣國深造，實現瞭自我價值。他的經曆強有力地驗證瞭兩個樸素的道理——教育改變命運，機會隻青睞有準備的人。在這個年紀讀到這本書，感覺再摺騰也不算晚。
評分##大老闆的書，坦白說很久沒有讀這樣迴憶錄的書籍瞭，而Out of Gobi更多的是平白口語話的敘述，很難探究其間他對於這種曆史背景的感情，但也可能，作為曆史的一份子，幾十年後其實大概就是這種淡然的心態瞭。 一個同事在amazon書評下說到有趣的一點，單總和聖上幾乎是同齡人，經曆過大抵類似的時代洪流，很多人都會低估這一代人的堅韌。 Shan的職業生涯迴過頭來看真的是非常的先苦後甜，當然沒有在戈壁的睏苦煎熬也沒有後期來到美國後求學時候的勤勉刻苦，後麵的貴人相助和諸多際遇實際也是德配其位的，真的很瞭不起。說起來有的時候Shan群發公司郵件依然會分享一些關於經濟政治的看法，其實很有助益，可一些本地同事會有些不屑一顧，真的很淺薄
評分##作者言： “人一生能取得多大的成績，取決於得到什麼樣的機會。如果是因為沒有好機會，那無需惋惜。但如果機會降臨時沒有做好準備，那纔該後悔。” 深以為然。 但即使如此, 他的智慧與勤奮完全可以吊打99.99999% 的人。 There's a will there's a way.
評分##幾十年曆史洪流以第一視覺的放大鏡下緩緩鋪開。許多以前課本上一筆帶過的曆史名詞，背後原來有這麼多在現代看來不可想像的辛酸和扭麯。有許多章節看得眼淚止不住。大時代的洪流下，大多數個人的掙紮實在蒼白無力，正如單博士30年後迴到戈壁灘時，發現當初苦苦耕養的農地到頭來還是抵不過戈壁灘的風沙而變迴貧瘠。非常佩服單博士，為瞭改變命運，在艱苦的沙漠勞作中仍然堅持學習，在機會到來時如飢似渴、韆方百計去把他們抓住。從戈壁灘逃離，短短十年時間，躍升至沃頓商學院的教授，除瞭命運的垂青，更離不開個人汗水的耕耘。
