This book is a spinoff from one of the TV programs, and the illustrations are taken from it. Lola is practicing her song for the school concert. She is singing a duet with her friend Lotta. During one of their practices, Lola starts to giggle, and then it turns into the hiccups. No matter what Lola or her friend who helps tries, the pesky hiccups just will not go away. Lola drinks water and holds her breath. Finally, it appears that they have gone away, and the girls are backstage getting ready for the concert. They decide on one last little practice, and then they giggle. Oh no, it has happened again: Lola has the hiccups. They seek out Charlie, and he tries an idea: to try and make him laugh and he will catch the hiccups. It works and, unfortunately for Charlie, a bit too well.
