至少，通過《哈利·波特》，他們可以明白，像伏地魔（Voldemort）這樣的“惡”（注意它的拉丁文詞根，“自死亡中重返”）不但無時不在，而且還有可能就是和自己息息相關的一部分時（就像哈利和伏地魔在某種意義上是一個整體一樣），所謂的成長就是一個對“惡”獲得全麵認知的過程。因此，孩子們可以跟隨哈利的年度影像節奏檢驗自己在學校裏與“惡”拼搏所獲得的年度印記。
