The Akallabeth recounts the downfall of the great island kingdom of Numenor at the end of the Second Age and Of the Rings of Power tells of the great events at the end of the Third Age, as narrated in The Lord of the Rings.For the first time, we are publishing a deluxe edition of this pivotal work, featuring the revised, corrected text and including, by way of an introduction, a fascinating letter written by Tolkien in 1951 in which he gives a full explanation of how he conceived the early Ages of Middle-earth. 是30th版，鎖綫精裝，紙張很厚很白，所以書也比較重，很精緻，質量很好，有一張地圖。一入中土深似海，托老的作品本來有套平裝，但總想弄一套精裝的收藏，對這本書和其所屬的套裝關注猶豫瞭很久，主要是價格高，要集齊整套經濟上會比較吃力，但最終還是決定入手，因為買的不僅僅是書，還是情懷
