馬德琳·米勒（MadelineMiller，1978.7.24-）
作傢、教師、莎士比亞戲劇導演。
1978年齣生於波士頓，在紐約和費城長大，就讀於布朗大學，獲得古典文學學士和碩士學位。曾在芝加哥大學和耶魯大學戲劇學院學習，在那裏，她專注於研究如何使經典文本以現代形式改編。在過去的十五年裏，她一直在教高中生拉丁語、希臘語和莎士比亞戲劇。
馬德琳曾錶示，她從許多作傢的小說、詩歌中受到瞭啓發。她很擅長將古典文學用現代語言重新組閤，寫成適閤現代年輕人閱讀的故事。她的第一部小說《阿基裏斯之歌》獲得瞭2012年柑橘奬(Orange Prize for Fiction)，並成為《紐約時報》暢銷書，被翻譯成包括土耳其語、阿拉伯語、希臘語在內的二十五種以上的語言。她的第二部小說《喀耳刻》齣版後即成為《紐約時報》暢銷書，並獲得瞭獨立電影年度最佳成人小說奬和獨立電影年度最佳有聲讀物奬，還入圍瞭2019年女性小說奬。《喀耳刻》還獲得瞭“紅觸手奬”、“美國圖書館協會亞曆剋斯奬”以及2018年Elle大奬。目前，HBO Max正在將其改編成電視劇。

##英文有聲書。讀瞭一陣無感就放棄瞭。開頭那裏寫Circe見到她叔叔普羅米修斯，還在想寫這倆人的話還挺帶感。。。
評分 評分就離譜……剛開始看的時候對於語言的優美驚為天人，本來聽說中信翻譯爛爆心裏有點犯嘀咕，沒想到文字這麼好，還以為自己挖到寶瞭，隨便看的一本書竟然這麼棒。 看到一半來豆瓣看瞭看，有人說它是小言文我還生氣心想有沒有腦子啊怎麼會是小言文！結果越看越不對勁，啪啪打臉啊，...
評分##Circe/Kirke原本在神話裏就是一個另類的存在，Olympian眾神本來就孩子氣得要命（不然Athena為什麼會為瞭Paris選Aphrodite而毀瞭特洛伊），而且離荷馬史詩過瞭兩韆多年，很難有新梗，老劇情也快被抄爛瞭。所以這本可以說是個不可多得的新說瞭。不懂為什麼豆瓣評分這麼低，大概是希臘神話普及率不是很高？
