精彩書評
A picture book that recommends itself by the lambent sweetness of its illustration and the endearing confusion of its principal character... Any young child who has ever worried about having made a blunder will identify with the poor muddled mouse, and laugh a little at her too, in this brief and lovely bedtime story.
—Wall Street Journal
The richly textured, collaged mixed-media illustrations are rendered in deep indigos, spring greens and bright yellows. This sweet, simple story provides a springboard for talks about shapes and simple fractions—and possibly what other celestial bodies can't be eaten.
—Kirkus Reviews
Horácek’s mixed-media illustrations are delightful and cozy: Mouse wears striped socks, mittens, and a tail- warmer; and the forest is cool blues and greens, which take on a snug shine when the moon comes out. Horácek enhances the illustrations with cutaway pages for peek-a-boo moments within the story—when Mouse gazes lovingly at the moon from within her hole, the reader can, too. A yummy tale just right for bedtime sharing.

The bold acrylic, pencil, and crayon illustrations feature clever peek-through cut-outs, with characters carefully positioned on dense blue and green landscapes. The pages, with sculptured corners, lead readers deeper into the story. The multidimensional artwork is a visual treat, and the gentle story is told with simplicity and wry humor.
—School Library Journal
A sweetly written story with some enlivening spirit in the text. Mixed-media art glows with saturated colors (and that banana really is as bright as the moon), while mottled resist effects add texture and the patterned charm of batik to backdrops and vegetation. Horá?cek’s animals have a thoughtful scruffiness that recalls John Burningham’s work, while their thick, painterly solidity is all their own. ... The lunar theme and nocturnal mood make this a soothing bedtime read.
