The Learn to Read with Tug the Pup program features important Common Core State Standards connections, including sight word vocabulary, simple text, strong picture support, and character and plot development.

The eleven short stories in box set two are Guided Reading Levels C–E, which means the stories are still very simple but include dialogue and are slightly more advanced than the A and B level stories. Each box set also comes with reward stickers and a Parents' Guide that provides hours of additional reading activities.

作者简介

An international educational consultant, Julie M. Wood, Ed.D. served as a Director of the Jeanne Chall Reading Lab at the Harvard Graduate School of Education (HGSE). Dr. Julie’s clients include Apple, Disney Interactive, Nickelodeon, and PBS Interactive where she serves as the Senior Literacy Advisor for new projects. A former public school teacher and editor, she holds an Ed.M in Technology Innovation & Education and an Ed.D. in Language & Literacy from HGSE. She currently serves as the Academic Learning Specialist at the Kingsley Montessori School in Boston. Her co-authored book (Harvard Education Press) on integrating new technologies into teaching, with U.K. educator Nicole Ponsford, will be available in 2014
