作者简介

Barbara Park is one of today's funniest and best-loved writers for middle graders. Her novels, which include Dear God, HELP!!! Barbara thinks that the wonderful thing about writing humor is that she is able to deal with serious issues in a more lighthearted way. Barbara's fans always want to know whether or not her characters are based on her own children (she has two sons) -- in fact, they are not. 最早，我也很功利的希望Jerry能够多看一些英文书，甚至减少中文书的购买。这样可以提高Jerry的英文水平。但当你持续实施阅读时，你真的会发现，语言只是一种文字。我们不应该过分关注于“学语言”，而是应该坚持“阅读”，阅读孩子想看的书。对书的内容做一些筛选和把关。同时，扩充孩子看书的广度。孩子就像一块“海绵”，他/她对未知的世界其实都很好奇，你给他/她什么，她/他就会吸收什么。
